I don’t need God, I don’t need karma, I don’t need new age philosophies of positive or negative vibrations, I don’t need ‘energies’. I don’t need a soul or a spirit or whatever other entity that human culture has spewed out into this world.

I believe in that which was not created by culture. I believe in that which was not created by humans. This actually kind of means I don’t ‘believe’ in anything - because belief in itself is man-made.

I believe in the miracle of fundamental existence. I believe in the power of the mind and the power of our consciousness, not to alter external events through some new age voodoo, but to alter perspective, to alter brain functions, to alter ourselves, and maybe as a by-product, possibly to alter external actions.

Sure I believe in energy, but on a fundamental biological level! I have in me the energy from the sun, and so do you, and the plants and the animals and everything living. We are a self-sustaining balance of life here on earth and we, against all universal odds, have had the priviledge to live, to exist.

I don’t believe in a universal objective meaning, but that’s okay. Our very existence is a fucking miracle! And if every person recognized it as such, then there would be no need to turn our existence into something that it’s not.
